MAHAKALA seeds

KonaUprise, Kona pheno. happy warm weed. it is energetic, but not overwhelming energy, without pressure, first two hours it is quite rythmic. then it relaxes you down. very happy, bright and calm. permanent grin. you can be at home and enjoy Saturday morning with it, or it is great to be in nature. to relax in nature. I bet it is great for fishing. or just look at sunset on the beach. great for swimming in summer. it gives you well being feeling. very positive vibe to it from first toke. wonderful fruity nectar/menthol schnapps cake spice on exhale taste. aftertaste is also longer lasting. spicy fruity weed for sure. I have beautiful day on it. smooth friendly happiness. no crash down.. smooth. smoky. everything on fleek. zing zing. smell taste and effect. hawaiian haze, its own category. antidepressant of the highest order.

This was great to read and see a bud. I have 3 Kona Uprise and 3 Mextacy's above ground and just getting into the veg phase, they are 21 days from breaking ground.

Excellent thread! Love it :love:Marvelous strains, pics, info and discussions, thank you @MAHAKALA !

I'm an indoor grower, yet interested in haze and sativa high. Impractical to grow pure haze in a tent, hence my interest.. (I am not an expert grower, sorry for the n00bie questions..) :dazed053:

Would love to hear breeder's indoor grow tips for Mindblower, Chocolate Funk, Grandfunk, Juicy Woo and others, especially interested in lights & light schedules, nutrition, grow medium etc.

Helpful tips from others who have grown these indoors are most welcome also..

Would 20/4 for veg work from seed, or shorter day perhaps? (I understand flowering clones is the recommended way indoors, but one would have to first get the clones from the seeds..)

12/12 or 11/13 for flowering..?

Thanks beforehand..!

Hi!

yeah pure haze is very impractical.

I cant say to others how to grow it. if you grow hydroponics, I will not tell you to grow it organics. it is your choice, you should know the best what growing style fits you, and if you don't know it yet, you will have to find out yourself. I saw nice hazes in hydroponics, coco, coco/soil mix etc. I prefer organics.

the most important is healthy root system. and to avoid some ph fluctuations. quality fresh air. but that is valuable for all cannabis. these sativas just don't eat so much like indicas. I think all of our varieties are pretty easy to grow. except of acid beauty which is lil more finicky so to say, but still easier than to grow pure zamal or thai..

it would be easier if you can tell me how you grow? lights can be leds, hps or metal halide.. again it depends on your choice. I like HPS Sunmaster Phillips for flowering. but I grew it under led panels too and it was all right. at led lights I had to feed less N and much more Ca/Mg...

Tom Hill uses metal halide, he says that sun in tropics is more blue. that's why. others say it is much better when lights had more red spectrum it is better for sativas... some people even add UV lamps, Plasma lamps as additional lightnings.. I think there are some leds with additional UV lights too.

from seeds. yes, but you don't have to flower seedplants, you just veg them and wait for preflowers and take cuts. flip the cut right after rooting or with minimal vegging.

I dont recommend 20/4 for vegging at all... because then it can be very hard for plant to flip into flowering mode.. it can take longer to switch to flowering for plant. realize that at tropics there is never more that 14 hours per day.

anyway if you want to start flowering seedplants, you can, but it will be more stretchy than from cut - I think this is important in tent, and buds will not be so compact like from cut.

feeding. at that initial stretch plants don't need so much N. so 2-4-7 NPK is all right, after stretch ends and plant get more into budding, it is needed to increase N for sure and P too.

dont veg it too long, look at me with Sour#12haze, I vegged it for month 18/6.. it was too long! I had problem with stretch. so veg it like for 2 weeks and then flip it to flowering. it will stretch first 4 weeks and size of plant will increase 4X. at our black vietnamese hybrids the stretch is bigger.

some say that at 12/12 it gives more THC, it takes longer to finish than at 11/13 regime. but both regimes are possible.

such mindblower is very easy to grow in my eyes... grandfunk too. very easy imo.

if you have more questions feel free to ask. I encourage you to get sativa high in your head :D clear and uplifting, motivating and stimulating.

Hi @MAHAKALA!!! :banana2:

Many thanks for your reply and input, much appreciated..!

Hahah, looking back my questions, you nailed the answer..! Too many variables..

I try to read and learn as much as I can..

Atm I use T5's for seedlings, 315w CMH for veg, early flower 400w MH, rest 480W LED.. Heat becomes an issue otherwise and my growspace atm is very modestly sized (2x4x8)

I am planning to get air-cooled dual tube system to fix 2x 400W into that space though for flowering.. 480w LED is more than enough but I like to experiment 🤣️ and I have also noticed increased calmag issues with LED ! I suspect it's heat related..

I usually use peat-moss/vermiculite mix 75/25 and some mineral nutrients and chicken manure/seaweed pellets and like it so far, (some coco coir experiments too lately.. (have very soft water, so haven't dialed it in yet, especially with LED )

also love to up pot to fresh soil, not much need for nutes then..

Have tried hydro, but not my thing atm. Results were cracy good though using garden shop mineral dry nutrient, cheap as chips..

Thanks for the tip about those two strains and NPK info, very valuable..!

Still learning the art of cloning, but my long-term plan is to find workable nice thai-haze, make a selection, motherize it and clone forever :afroweed:

Thank you warmly again..

PS just love all I see here, such creations!

looks spectacular..!
thanks. it is pheno that repeats often in these crosses, mango fuel, with some variation. in boogie - you can see that pheno at first page of this thread, in hawaiian gas - you can see it in this thread also. and now I got it in sour#12haze.. loved by many!

sour#12haze pheno2, few days and it is ready, most of lower buds are read, just tops need few days more. it is flowered from seed, so from cut you can await much denser buds and from cut it will be finished week earlier than from seed(with minimum veg)
sour#12haze876.webp

while this pheno9 just started to flower seriously now around 85 days... so 3 or 4 weeks to finish I think, maybe it will surprise and will be quicker, but we will go over 100 days for sure
