Poppin perpetual w/God Bud by Seed Supreme. Round Two

Previous God Bud Grow

Currently, this grow is on Week 8 already. I won't dump all 8 weeks into this one post. This post will intro everything and cover Week 1. I thought I could get the first 4 weeks in but only allowing me to upload 10 pics.

So, it's the other 4 pack of God Bud seeds from Seed Supreme. The goal, as it says in the title, going perpetual. I really want to be harvesting monthly. So, the plan is to expand. I didn't move into a 2BR by myself for no reason. A little new school and a little old school.

Nutrients include GH 3-part, CalMag, Superthrive, and Orca mycorrhizai in veg. In the last grow, I found that Lucas formula worked better where it did poorly in veg. This time, I'll be flowering with something different. GH sent me a 1 gal (16lbs) container of their new MaxBloom, powder nutrients, as well as a 1 gal of CalMag (still unopened). So, in flower, I've been using MaxBloom w/CalMag. As far as the mycorrhizai, it's about 1ml per gal fed only at the beginning of veg and beginning of flower. And, I only use Superthrive on seedlings and cuts.

Out of 4 seeds, all 4 popped. All looked healthy except started dying before the first true leaves got bigger than the cotyledons so it never got to the point if being labeled.

Week 2..

As we can see, there's the triploid fighting to get those extra true leaves out and that 4th seed losing its own fight.

Haven't labeled them yet but we can see which is A, the triploid, B growing normally, and C looks like it's a week late.

Week 4
Crazy growth from last week. Took cuts today. And got some mid-Week 3 pics to show that growth.

Week 5/Flower Week 1 in 2x4
There goes the nutrients, MaxBloom, 10 grams per 1 gal.

And, here we can see C's slow growth while A and B are moved into the 2x4 tent for flower.

A little root porn and a note on how I rigged that air pump. Soooooo, I found these quick disconnects on the cheap and decided to try them out. I LOVE THEM. However, I also switched to using silicon tubing over the rigid vinyl tubing. Hurt myself enough times to look for an alternative. Problem? The silicon doesn't sit securely in the disconnects but the vinyl sits very well.

The flexibility is just worth it to me. I already got way more than enough barbed connectors. Of the disconnects, I got tees, elbows, and valves. I like my current solution and I ain't looking back lol

Week 6.. Flower Week 1, again? LOL

Note: I did take 3 smaller cuts just to play with. They dried out too quickly and I tossed em.

Anyway..
Due to the overcrowding in veg, the fact that my 2-in-1 still has an empty 2x2, I got the equipment to run it, I decided to move C and A1a to flower. I figure they're small enough and shouldn't crowd the 2x2 much.

Week 7.. Flower Week 3 (2x4) and 2 (2x2)

Soooo.. I F'd up. Forgot to feed veg. Unfortunately, B1 dried out completely. So, I'm on a mission to save it.

At the same time, veg is getting a bit crowded so I topped them all

A and B are both female. That's right folks, these seeds are regular photoperiod or they're supposed to be regular. I did intend to make more seed when I purchased before but oh well.

Semi-spoiler.. out of 8 seeds, 7 were/are female. The other one is died too early to find out.

And C is still slow. A1a has already caught up to it.

Week 8, as of the 26th, Flower Weeek 4 and 3.

Veg
I think it's safe to say, I've saved B1. That last pic is today AFTER the topping. It's already shot back up since the 26th.

Week 4 Flower, 2x4
A and B are doing well, no problems nor complaints.That split in A's trunk has healed but not sure how that has affected growth - back to normal growth or stunted even if just a little bit. It sits on my mind. Did I lose a few grams, maybe an ounce or we good to go?

Week 3 Flower in 2x2
Notice how A1a is shooting over C already. In fact, without the training, it's even taller than the A.

HOWEVER, C, obviously does not share the same characteristics. Besides it being slow, I noticed the leaves are much fatter. I'm thinking this pheno must be representing some parental qualities OR this ain't God Bud, at all. Even the scent is different.

When rubbing stems, my fingers from A and B smell alike, like lemon/citrus. A1a, of course, smells like them too. The aroma In the air is more earthy tho. I got odor control but I like to leave my tents open when I'm in the room.

But, when I checked C today, smells like vomit. And, I kept catching whiffs of vinegar or some kind of fermenting but it isnt strong. I don't smell it when I get close either. I just don't remember it smelling like that. I checked the roots and the bud sites. I see nothing out of order.

For the future of perpetual growing..
I have to time my cuts better so theyre topped 3 times and ready for flower when it's time to harvest. I went a bit early because I needed to figure out the sex.

Now? I need to see which mother I'll be keeping. Which pheno will offer best buzz factor

●A, the triploid? (went diploid on me so the novelty is gone.)
●B, the normie?
●C, the annoyingly slow grower (or sleeper)?

4 to 5 more weeks of flower and 4 more weeks of dry/cure. Looking at a mid to late November smoke date.

Here we are today, Oct 3, Week 9 of this perpetual project

Did some pruning/trimming yesterday. Tossed about a dozen-plus potential cuts/clones. Just holding these three until I'm sure about what I'm doing next - getting another tent or just flip the 2nd BR.. hmm

Flower Week 4 (2x2) - A1a and C

C still growing slow ut bushy with the wider leaves. A1a getting tall and I can't bring that light any higher.. eh. Buds are coming in nice. Smell is kicking up.

FYI, it did sprout some balls (hermie). I found other pinhole light leaks in this tent. Knocked off the balls and patched up the leaks. I havent found any other balls nor seen any new ones, yet.

The scent is getting stronger and profile has changed a bit. I smell the undertones of vomit, fermentation, or trash with a creamy sweetness. It stinks but it stinks gooood. Buds gettin thiccccc. I can't wait.

Dusted off my Nikon D5600 and pulled out the tripod.

How lucky am I? My 55mm lens broke. It became a macro lens. I already have a macro lens. Here's the kicker. The macro lens fits in the 55mm. It was a set. DOUBLE MACRO and that's why I'm all up that leaf's cheeks.

I want superclarity tho. Just as that lens broke, my tripod won't tighten up on the joints. Legs were still solid tho lol. That's the next purchase.

Flower Week 6/5

Veg - A1b, B1, C1
Not much has changed here. More tops.

Week 6 (2x4) - A, B
I noticed some lower branches coming up and fattening up too.

Week 5 (2x2) - A1a, C
Had to top A1a, was kissjng the light. More stretch in both plants but subsided last 2 days or so.

Harvesting around end of October

Perpetual Week 11
Flower Weeks 7 (2x4) and 6 (2x2)

In general, just been monitoring. Everything going as planned.

Veg - A1b, B1, C1
Same shit, different update. More tops as usual. Later in the day, did some more topping and took two cuts (A and B). I didnt prep a peat sponge or anything, left them in a cup with 5 drops of superthrive, a few drops of veg nutes, and water. We'll see.

Week 7 (2x4) - A, B
Fattening up nicely. Smell getting more intense. Might take this an extra week into November.

Week 6 (2x2 aka the jungle) - A1a, C
Did some more defoliation and got some visuals of my slow grower in the back. The jungle is 1 week behind the 2x4. However, C is the slow grower soo I would not be surprised if the tent belongs to C for a couple more weeks after I pull A1a.

In other news, got myself a Bloom Plus BP4000 light (on the way) and a 4x4 tent but I am only using the frame.. heh heh heh

In this year of our Lord, 2024, on the 31st day of the month of October, these MF'n trichomes ain't ready yet.

I got mostly cloudy, some clear, minor amber. So, we're going into Week 9 of flower in the 2x4, week 8 in the 2x2, and I am topping my plants in veg every 3 days.

I want to pull asap because I want to use the 2x4 as veg in a 2x6 configuration (lay it on its side lol). I get 4 sweet feet of height. But, I pulled early last time due to trusting my gut which worked out for the best. Altho it was good, I knoooow it could have been better if I waited. So, I will stfu and be patient because I'm F'n virtuous lol

11/07/24.. start of Week 14

I harvested A1a on the 5th and then A and B on the 6th. And C is finishing up, will probbaly harvest this weekend. Plants hangin up in the 4x4.

Flipped the 2x4 to 2x6 and set up the lighting. Will need to make some other changes ordered some bits and pieces.

Today, I been cleaning up and cleaning out, getting ready to move the plants in veg to flower. That will be the last time I move short plants to flower. I'll still use the 2x3 for seedlings and testing the next strain. I intend to add a strong sativa. I may run a couple autos in veg tent til I find another mother. Of course, I gotta make some seed first lol
