Powdery Mildew

Yeah I'm outdoor in flower
Past week 3 I’m assuming? Is pm common in the area or does it only seem to be affecting your plants. Is it a cut you received or from seed. Tbh you’re getting to that point in flower where it will be tough to nip it now especially outdoors. Hoping someone here has a nice handy idea 👌
But our ladies love the sulfur in moderation, as it is a trace element that the plant happily excepts.

Just like any Element, if used at the wrong time or at the wrong dosage it will ruin your smoke or hash.

I’ve implemented both sulfur burns and foliar applications with Key to Life’s soluble sulfur Silver Bullet.

I’ve also burned my plants from burning sulfur excessively when trying to knock out pests.

As a reset between runs indoors I like to burn sulfur in my space. Gives me comfort and helps me sleep well at night.

Seems like sulfur is just like anything else. There are lots of options with varying degrees of success depending on timing and dosage but could be a useful tool at times.
Timing and dosage for sure, well said

It's from seed. I could bring it indoors. It's in a pot. I think I'm going to go with DMAN's advice. "I've tried to keep PM at bay with food grade H2o2....29%-35%. A strong mix of H2o2 50ml/litre may help, but again...it's a battle. " And maybe a good idea to bring it indoors. It's very rainy today.

👌 sounds good. overall goal is to get the pH on your leaves out of the comfort range for the spores

If you’re showing pistils already I’d use a citric acid based product for control. A product like Dr Zymes will work but you’ll have to be spraying weekly throughout the rest of the season to keep it at bay. You can use that product up until harvest but your terps will definitely suffer.

Preventative sulphur spraying works with most species of PM but not all. IME it’s the best, safe pre-treatment. If there is PM on neighboring, non cannabis plants (and there usually is) the battle is tough. Be sure to spray them as well as the soil under your lady.

Best of luck and be vigilant in your spray schedule!

Agreed but always remember that they use sulfur for pm on commercial grapes as well which is why there is so much sulphates in wine etc. Just a thought for when using in something we ingest.
I have used very fine grounded sulphur many times. I do not find any problems with the plant absorbing it. I do NOT spray once any flowers have began to form.

I wanted to show everyone how well lost coast plant therapy works. I had a couple plants that pm started showing early on. I decided to move them into an under ventilated tent to allow the pm to take hold. After one of the plants was completely covered and sickly I gave it one spray of LCPT at 1oz per gallon. The next day 90% was gone. I like to go three days inbetween doses. I’ll hit her tomorrow with a half strength mix and it will be completely gone!IMG_8539.jpegIMG_8544.jpeg

It always bounces back though then you have to keep spraying and spraying degrading the quality of the plant. Looks like you were growing for seed though so that wouldn’t matter much in your case.

can you water with it for the same effect? wondering if I watered with peppermint oil if it would help, seems to mostly be soybean and peppermint oil with citric acid

Also has a soap and iso . I don’t think it’s to complicated to make yourself. They source only the best ingredients for their products. I ended up getting 15 gallons in a trade. So that why I tried it out. We have a terrible pm issue here on the coast. I have yet to find a strain that can go untreated without a small outbreak. Yes, some strains are more resistant but not immune. It’s floating in the air and has a wide range of temp and humidity it can colonize in.

What's IME?

Wettable sulfur, Dr. Zymes, LCPT. I battled PM for a couple of years. These products along with keeping the environment in check have helped me overcome the PM for almost 2 years now...just gotta stay on top of it. I usually give her one last dose of sulfur at day 10ish of flower. Then ride it out...hope it works for the CF in week 9 I have going right now. Still have 30+ more days before chop.
